UNESCO Fountains Abbey & Studley Royal Tour
The Georgian water garden of Studley Royal sitting next to the impressive ruins of Fountain’s Abbey is such a unique location that UNESCO awarded it World Heritage status.
Our tour takes a walk around the site, exploring one of the most complete Abbey ruins in England. I will explain what monastic life was like over the centuries until the dissolution of the monasteries as we explore the huge site with its huge church.
We will also explore the water garden with its many surprise views and folly’s, water features and moon ponds. As well as visiting the late 14th century Fountains Hall.
There will also be time to explore the nearby weird natural rock feature at the National Trust site of Brimham rocks and travel back via the cathedral city of Ripon.
This tour is a full day private driver guided tour in a 4×4 vehicle and the cost is £820 for up to 4 passengers plus entrances fees.
