North York Moors & Whitby Tour
A scenic drive over to the historic seaside town of Whitby with its gothic abbey nestled on the cliffs of the Yorkshire Coast.
Our tour will cover the Hambleton Hills and the famous White Horse of Kilburn, pretty North Yorkshire villages like Hutton le Hole and Coxwold and bustling market towns such as Helmsley.
We will travel over the stunning heather moorland which makes up the North York Moors National Park stopping at remnants of the areas industrial past such as Bank Top iron works, visiting early English preaching crosses such as Fat Betty and Old Ralph and driving over the iconic Blakey Ridge with beautiful views of Rosedale and Farndale either side.
In Whitby we will stop for fresh fish and chips, before taking a walking tour of the Old Town where I will tell you the stories of Whitby’s whaling heritage, its links to Captain James cook and the towns inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula.
This tour is a full day private driver guided tour in a 4×4 vehicle and the cost is £820 for up to 4 passengers (excludes refreshments & entrances).
