How we work...

...we are truly passionate about what we do, and how we do it!

We hope you will find something of interest on our website – but we can also pull together bespoke itineraries.

The trips or tours vary in price depending on what the tour involves, entrance fees, what we have to pay others, mode of transport and distances travelled. Where we are buying into an existing ‘experience’ we will usually add a small mark up for administration and then add transport costs.

The main business is exclusive "Driver Guided" tours of Yorkshire for up to 4 people, but we are also able to organise tours for larger groups and coach tours, as well as hiring Yorkshire Blue Badge Guides for other work.

Please give us a call on 01943 590009 to let us know when you plan to be in the region and which trips you may be interested in. If there is no-one in please leave a message with your telephone number and we’ll ring you back within 48 hours. You’ll understand if we are guiding it would be unfair to take calls. Alternatively, email us at tim@realyorkshiretours.co.uk detailing your requirements, and again we’ll email you back or call you within 48 hours.

Once you’re your trip has been quoted and you are happy with the cost, we will need payment in advance. Ideally this will be straight away, but at least 30 days before the tour.  Payment can be made by cheque or direct transfer. If you are booking at short notice, full payment will be needed up front.

We will send you a confirmation email detailing the days itinerary, confirming location and pick up times, a dossier about your guide and some idea of an alternate itinerary for outdoor activities if the weather means the tour becomes too dangerous to run. There are times when a walk up Ingleborough for example could be too treacherous to attempt.

We do try and run most tours even in inclement weather. As Ranulf Fiennes said “there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!” – we usually have some spare waterproofs or walking poles but would expect appropriate footwear to be worn on walking trips or outdoor based tours.
