DCI Banks Locations Tour

See the locations from Leeds, Bradford & surrounding areas

The popular TV crime drama DCI Banks, based on the Peter Robinson crime novels ran on ITV between 2010 and 2016. Starring Stephen Tomkinson the series was filmed on location predominantly in West Yorkshire.

This tour takes in many of the locations from the TV series from gritty urban settings to beautiful Dales countryside. We will start the tour in Leeds City Centre which featured in many episodes. We'll visit the Corn Exchange, Leeds City Market Area, Granary Wharfe, Holbeck and the Tiled Hall & Art Gallery before driving to the market town of Otley.

Otley market square and the Black Bull pub featured heavily in one of the episodes. From here we will head out into the Washburn Valley to drive over wild moorland to visit some beautiful reservoirs which featured in the series with fantastic views across the water and back into Wharfedale.

We will take lunch in the Victorian Spa Town of Ilkley before driving up to the famous Cow & Calf Rocks which featured in more than one episode. After our stroll up to the rocks on Ilkley Moor (inspiration for Yorkshire's unofficial national anthem - Ilkley Moor Bah Tat), we will head to Bradford City Centre.

This former heavily industrial city was where DCI Banks Police Headquarters were based. We will take a drive around the city then walk across the stunning City Park in fromt of the grand Itallianate Town Hall.

This is a full day out but a must for the avid DCI Banks fan!
